Lower Dir: On the vision of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police, Zulfiqar Hameed, and under special directives of RPO Malakand Sher Akbar, District Police Officer (DPO) Lower Dir Abdul Salam Khalid distributed relief cheques from the welfare fund among police force.
According to the spokesperson of Lower Dir Police, a total of Rs. 1.695 million was distributed on this occasion, out of which 16 personnel received assistance under medical expenses and 8 personnel were provided financial support for dowry purposes.
Addressing the ceremony, the DPO Lower Dir said that police officers and personnel are the department’s valuable asset, and their welfare is the top priority of district police.
He added that practical steps are being taken to resolve the financial difficulties of personnel so they can perform their professional duties in a better way.
He further stated that all applications are processed strictly on merit to ensure that every deserving personnel receives their due right.
The DPO reaffirmed his commitment that such welfare initiatives for the wellbeing of police personnel would continue in the future as well.
