**Solidarity Rally Held at Govt Sadiq College Women’s University Bahawalpur on Kashmir Exploitation Day**

BAHAWALPUR: A rally was held at Government Sadiq College Women’s University in Bahawalpur to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day.

The rally was led by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Shazia Anjum, A large number of University students, teachers and staff were also present on the occasion.

The purpose of the rally was to highlight Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and express support for the ongoing struggle for the freedom of the Kashmiri people.

Addressing the rally, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum said that on August 5, 2019, India illegally abrogated the special status of Kashmir and robbed the Kashmiris of their basic human rights. He said the people of Pakistan celebrate this day every year as the Day of Exploitation.

To remind the world that Kashmiris are still sacrificing for their freedom. He said the Kashmiri people should be given their right to self-determination as per the UN resolutions and the international community should take note of Indian atrocities.

At the end of the rally, prayers were offered for the Kashmiri martyrs and it was reiterated that the Pakistani nation would continue to extend political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people. NEWS DESK
