Abbottabad struggle to save Mangal River from pollution has intensified.Mangal Save Movement to raise awareness among the people. According to Dalawar Khan Tanuli Advocate of Mangal Bachao Tehreek, 100 chapters on water pollution of 45 km long Mangal River and how to implement it will be considered.
The agenda includes prevention of fires, protection of logging and trees, prevention of illegal fishing and survival of wild and aquatic life. Vala includes medical chemicals waste and other hazardous materials which is directly polluting the water of the river.The waste from small industries in the river also becomes a source of some treatment. Includes housing society solid waste, plastic, diapers, paper, food waste and other household items which are facing stream pollution due to indiscriminate dumping. Consultation meetings will be held on Sundays near Hill Meera.
