In a remarkable academic achievement, Mazmah Khan, a first-year student of Electrical Engineering (Power) at Air University Islamabad, has secured the top position in her department. She is the daughter of renowned social activist Mudassar Jameel, popularly known as Shani Khan.
Speaking about her success, Mazmah emphasized the importance of technical education for young women, stating that it is time for female students to move beyond traditional fields like medicine and teaching, and step into areas such as civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
Attributing her achievement to the prayers and unwavering support of her parents, she urged families to grant their daughters the same freedom in educational choices as their sons, enabling them to become independent and contribute positively to society.
Mazmah further shared her plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering in Pakistan, followed by higher studies abroad, with full support from her parents.
