A delegation of the Mardan Press Club recently completed a two-day visit to Malam Jabba, a scenic and popular tourist destination in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the special invitation of the Samsons Group of Companies. The visit was organized by renowned legal expert Barrister Mansoor Bacha to familiarize journalists with the ongoing tourism promotion initiatives, enhanced security arrangements, and modern recreational facilities being developed in the region. Led by Muhammad Riaz Mayar, President of the Mardan Press Club, the delegation comprised several senior journalists who were warmly welcomed upon arrival by the officials of Samsons Group. The visiting team was given a detailed briefing on various development projects, tourism infrastructure, and safety protocols implemented in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Major (Rtd) Omar Ali Khan, Security In-charge of Samsons Group, and Deputy Manager Shahzad Alam highlighted the company’s efforts in transforming Malam Jabba into a world-class tourist hub. They revealed that the group has invested billions of rupees to establish international-standard facilities including a chairlift, luxury hotel (PC), ski resort, zip line, and other recreational ventures. The officials noted that Samsons Group has played a significant role not only in boosting tourism but also in ensuring peace and safety in the region. They announced that another major project, Green Valley, will soon be opened to the public. The new facility will offer a range of attractions suitable for people of all ages — including children, the elderly, and families — with a focus on accessibility and entertainment.
Members of the press club lauded the efforts of the Samsons Group, stating that the initiative is creating employment opportunities for the local population and contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the area. “The visit to Swat and Malam Jabba was completely peaceful, secure, and thoroughly enjoyable,” said the journalists, adding that such endeavors are essential for projecting a positive image of the region and unlocking its full tourism potential.
