A meeting between PHF officials and the Director-General of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has be held to discuss the matter. The participation of the Pakistan hockey team in the Pro Hockey League is contingent upon government funding, and the PHF has already apprised the federal government of the situation.

Following the directives of the Prime Minister’s Adviser, Rana Sanaullah, the PSB has begun assessing the situation. The PHF will need to plan and manage special funds, communication, and scheduling for the league, including coordinating with other teams for matches in Lahore and abroad, including Australia, Argentina, Europe, and the UK.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of the PSB, Yasir Pervaiz, stated that $2.5 million is required for the Pro Hockey League. The PHF will submit a proposal for the event. He emphasized that hockey, being Pakistan’s national game, deserves priority.
