Managing Director of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), Asad Ahmad, stated that it is a matter of pride to represent Pakistan in Osaka, Japan.
He participated in a panel discussion to highlight the immense potential of Pakistan’s Pink Rock Salt. The session was also attended by Khewra Salt Project Manager Malik Naeem Waghara and other participants.
They emphasized the vast reserves of the Salt Range in Pakistan—particularly the mineral wealth of Khewra’s Pink Salt—its value addition, and the importance of Geographical Indication (GI) registration to protect its identity and boost exports.
