Deputy Inspector General of Police Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti chaired a high-level meeting with DPOs of Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra districts, scholars, Shia leaders and peace committee officials regarding the establishment of peace in Muharram 2025. On this occasion, the DPOs informed about the security arrangements for Muharram 2025 in their respective districts. DIG Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti while talking to the participants on this occasion said that Hazara Police has made all preparations for Muharram 2025, effective security arrangements have been made in all three districts. The cooperation of scholars and elders of all schools of thought and their positive role for peace is of utmost importance. It is hoped that peace will be restored in Hazara during Muharram.
Wherever any disorder arises, it is the responsibility of the scholars, peace committee and other stakeholders to immediately bring it to the notice of the DPO of the concerned district and resolve it amicably. The scholars should highlight the aspect of unity of the Ummah and elimination of sectarianism in the Friday gatherings during Muharram. No one is allowed to disturb the peace and order situation by spreading sectarianism through hate speeches, wall chalking and social media. If anyone does such a thing, strict legal action will be taken against him. Instead of spreading hatred, we should sit together and improve the peace and order of the area. On this occasion, the participants thanked the DIG Hazara and assured full cooperation with the police to maintain the peace and order situation. At the end of the meeting, special prayers were offered for the survival, security and establishment of peace in Pakistan.
