Newly appointed Deputy Coordinator (Minority Wing) Punjab of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Kashif Yousaf, stated that the Christian community in Pakistan enjoys equal rights and opportunities. He expressed gratitude to the senior leadership of PML-N for entrusting him with the responsibility to serve the people across Punjab.Speaking at a dinner gathering in Rawalpindi, Kashif Yousaf lauded Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her tireless efforts in promoting development throughout the province, adding that the public is directly benefiting from these initiatives. “Whenever Punjab, including Rawalpindi, witnessed real progress, it was under the leadership of the PML-N,” he said.He highlighted major projects such as the establishment of cardiology and urology hospitals, universities, and colleges in Rawalpindi, calling them significant gifts for the local residents and patients who travel from far-flung areas for treatment.
Kashif Yousaf emphasized the invaluable contributions of the Christian community to the foundation and development of Pakistan, noting the services of Christian doctors, engineers, pilots, and army officers. “We are all Pakistanis. Our identity is our nation,” he added.Prominent attendees included PML-N Rawalpindi Division President Kamran Bhatti, Chairman IFGF Pastor Justin Javed, General Secretary of Rawalpindi Municipal CBA Pastor Shahid Raza, Chairman of Sanatan Dharma Pandit Rakesh, Chairman Pars Rana Khawar, and former Cantonment Board member Parvez Sotra.In his speech, Pastor Justin Javed reaffirmed the Christian community’s unwavering support for the Pakistan Army, stating, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our armed forces. From the Pakistan Movement to nation-building, our role has been significant.
Pakistan is our homeland, and we are present everywhere.”General Secretary Pastor Shahid Raza remarked that God has assigned the community a great role, urging dedicated service with loyalty. “If we serve Punjab with integrity, we can represent the entire country. Ministries and portfolios can be achieved if roles are fulfilled with sincerity,” he said. He also stressed that the Christian community’s contribution should be recognized beyond just sanitation work. “Cleanliness is half of faith, and that half is in our hands.”The event concluded with Kashif Yousaf thanking all the participants and assuring them of his full support and cooperation in future endeavors.
