Hundreds of female teachers and students protested outside the Press Club in Abbottabad, as in the rest of the province, against the closure of vocational centers run by the Abbottabad Tehsil Municipal Administration. They demanded that the government reconsider the decision and restore the vocational centers. Yesterday, hundreds of female teachers and students belonging to vocational centers expressed concern over the government’s actions and said that the provincial government has not allocated any money in the budget for the vocational centers run by the TMA in the province. And it has been closed by Instructor Amreen. Rubina said that at that time 14 vocational centers were running in Abbottabad, in which thirty teachers had been teaching girls for ten to 15 years. Till now, thousands of girls have graduated from here and are earning a decent living. And these were poor girls because there are many other opportunities for the rich. It is regrettable that the government has dismissed the employees instead of continuing this project and making them permanent.

Here, girls are given free education, where women are included in the race for development by promoting skills all over the world. What kind of law is this? The flawed projects are being destroyed and closed. At present, 309 students are studying in these centers, who can create employment opportunities for themselves by completing short courses of one to six months. The protestors were carrying placards on which their demands were written. The protesters demanded that the government reconsider its decision and restore all the centers.
