Abbottabad Like other parts of the country, government employees of all departments held a protest rally and press conference in Abbottabad. They have threatened to stage an indefinite protest sit-in in Peshawar if the government does not fulfill its three-point agenda. The All Government Employees Association demanded that the provincial budget be made equal to the center in DRA, pension and salaries. President Agiga Zulfiqar Abbasi, General Secretary Shahid Khan Jadoon, Patron Chief Azhar Khan, and Provincial Doctors Association Abbottabad President Dr. Moazzam Khan Jadoon said that employees are stakeholders of the state. An imported finance advisor was imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who did not keep his promise. Addressing Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, he said that government employees should not be put on the test. The employees have agreed that the center will give them only the relief that has been given to the employees.
He has threatened that if the demands are not met before June 25, there will be a sea of employees in Peshawar. The government machinery will be destroyed. They will be blocked. The leaders of the government employees further said that decisions are being taken in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa unlike other provinces. The federal government has increased the DRA (Disparity Allowance) to 30 percent, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa it has been reduced to 15 percent, and cuts have also been made in the name of pension reforms. This is causing concern among the employees. Meanwhile, government employees also took out a peaceful rally from Abbottabad Press Club to Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk. The protesters were also holding placards and banners, which had slogans demanding that the government fulfill its demands
