Teamwork is Key to Women’s Progress Successful Completion of Women Empowerment and Mentorship Program at Women University Swabi, Vice Chancellor Dr. Ghazala Yasmin

The Women Empowerment and Mentorship Program (WEMP) at Women University Swabi concluded successfully yesterday.Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmin remarked that “Enhancing women’s access to quality education and professional development has always been my top priority, and this program reflects that vision in action. Its success was only possible due to strong teamwork and collaboration.” She also extended her gratitude to the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) for placing their trust in the university.

The Director of NAHE, Mr. Suleman Ahmad, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He stated, “This program was specifically designed to empower women in academic institutions. It is encouraging to see it implemented successfully at Women University Swabi. The dedication and enthusiasm of the faculty are commendable.” He also appreciated the Vice Chancellor’s leadership and commitment to the cause of women’s education and professional training. The program was organized by Women University Swabi in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and NAHE, with Dr. Surayya Khanum serving as the focal person. Running from February to April 2025, the program engaged women faculty and staff from various departments.

Comprising six key modules, the training covered important themes such as challenges in higher education, conflict resolution, effective communication, personality development, and goal setting. Both group and individual mentoring sessions were held, focusing on improving participants’ professional and personal growth. Five experienced mentors from diverse academic backgrounds guided the mentees, while the committee members provided logistical and administrative support. Participants found the program to be informative, impactful, and relevant to their practical lives.
