The Election Commission has rejected the rumors of delaying of general election. The chief election commissioner said that the general elections will be held on February 8 in any case.
On which observers were repeatedly demanding that the Election Commission of Pakistan should explain in this regard to end the anxiety found among the people and political workers regarding possible delay in election process.
In this regard an important meeting of the Election Commission related to security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan was held on Thursday afternoon under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, in which IG and Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, IG Balochistan Police and Chief Secretary Balochistan also participated.
Custodian Federal Interior Minister Gohar Ejaz and Interior Secretary Aftab Durrani also participated in the meeting. Talking to the media after the meeting, Custodian Federal Interior Minister Gohar Ejaz said that the election is on February 8.
The caretaker government and the Election Commission will ensure that the elections are held on February 8. It should be remembered that during the last two days, grenade attacks on the houses and offices of PP candidates in Quetta and Ketch, 5 people have been injured.
Elections on NA 8 Bajaur, PK 22 and 91 have been postponed. It should be noted that after the death of a candidate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the incidents of insecurity in Balochistan, an important meeting was called in the Election Commission.
Earlier, the Chief Election Commissioner had said that there is no possibility of postponing the election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. While the caretaker interior minister Gauhar Ijaz said that it is being ensured that a peaceful and conducive environment is provided for the elections.
The explanation issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan is also satisfactory because it has given all the political aspirants.
It has been assured that they should continue their campaign, they will be provided with a better environment for the political parties with general elections.
Therefore do not pay attention to the criticism and conflicting statements given in this regard but raise awareness among the people so that the general elections are held Peace and order can be maintained during this time.
On the other hand, on the occasion of general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a safe app has also been created for the citizens for any unexpected situation and political fight, which the citizens should use.
With the help of this app information will be shared moment by moment about the situation inside and outside the polling station, while timely information will be received regarding the deployment and location of police personnel.
Through the Safe Election app, security forces will be sent to the polling stations. To ensure timely deployment and timely awareness during the difficulties faced by the staff, quick steps are to be taken. In this modern era by using IT the election is to be ensured in a peaceful environment.
While policing can also be done in a better way with this app. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has also developed another mobile app called e-Police Post App. This app will support snap checking search operation and criminal records which will be used by police officers. In the e-police app, the data of stolen vehicles will also be forwarded to the police in the form of notification and the system will be updated.
On the other hand the list of the most wanted accused will also be available in the same app so that the police personnel posted at the checking points can be helpful in snap checking. It is hoped that in view of these measures taken by the government, peace will be achieved during the general elections.
For that purpose it is necessary that the common citizens and voters should fully cooperate with the staff and security personnel of the Election Commission so that there is no chaos. Therefore it is the responsibility of all the political parties to avoid such speeches in front of their supporters in which someone’s heart is hurt so that incidents like Bajaur are not repeated.
