ISLAMABAD: Bushra Bibi, the former first lady and the spouse of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), contested the case of an illegal marriage in the Islamabad High Court on Monday.
The petition asks for the annulment of the sessions court judge’s January 11 judgment. It further stated that the prosecution brought against her and her spouse is “malicious.”
Bushra further requested that the lawsuit be dismissed and that the trial court’s proceedings be put on hold.

According to the petition, Khawar Manika, the former first lady’s ex-husband, filed a complaint out of hate for evil intentions.
The petition said that on the basis of falsified and counterfeit documents, a false allegation of marriage during iddat was made.
