Indian captain Rohit Sharma has filed a complaint against former legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over continuous criticism.

Rohit Sharma faced challenges with both his batting and captaincy during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. In response to this disappointing performance, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar severely criticized Rohit’s batting and captaincy, even questioning his future in red-ball cricket. Gavaskar suggested that it might be time to hand over the leadership to someone else for the betterment of the Indian team.

According to Indian media reports, this criticism did not sit well with Rohit Sharma, who felt that it was unnecessary. As a result, he allegedly filed a complaint against Sunil Gavaskar with the BCCI. Close sources to Rohit mentioned that he believed Gavaskar’s criticism was uncalled for, which led him to take the matter to the BCCI.
