RAWALPINDI: In order to strengthen the state of law and order in the city, 2,200 Closed Circle Television (CCTV) cameras are being put in 306 locations, according to Dr. Jamal Nasir, the caretaker minister for primary and secondary healthcare as well as population welfare in Punjab.
300 laborers were working day and night to finish the Safe City project, he revealed during a visit to the City Police Office to assess the ongoing work of the project.
He stated that 2200 cameras would be placed at 306 locations as part of the Safe City project, and that Rs 230 million had been set out for the building of the CPO office.
According to him, the renovation of Holy Family Hospital (HFH) was a historic undertaking that would greatly enhance medical facilities and be remembered by the people of Rawalpindi for many years. According to the minister, about 83 percent of the work on the former HFH block and 65 percent of the basement’s work had been completed. By January 31, he said, the majority of the HFH would be accessible to the general public.
According to Dr. Jamal, the Planning and Development Board had allocated Rs. 1500 million for the hospital’s redesign and restoration, and 600 laborers were working in various shifts to finish the project by the deadline. He said that money has also been made available to improve Rawalpindi’s parks.
