ISLAMABAD: A Chinese business delegation visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to discuss potential joint ventures and investments in Pakistan. The delegation was led by Zhang Yang, Chairman, Chang Jiang Industrial Company (Pakistan) Co., Ltd., and Director, Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce. Included in the delegation were the Chinese representatives of Yihai Culture Communication Co., Ltd. and Li Ting International China.
The acting president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Engr. Azhar ul Islam Zafar, gave a briefing to the Chinese team regarding the possible investment prospects in several areas of Pakistan’s economy.
He underlined that Chinese businesses should introduce technology and establish production facilities in Pakistan in order to generate profitable returns. He claimed that Pakistan provides an open investment policy with alluring incentives to foreign investors. He outlined the main areas of concentration for Chinese businesses, which offer Pakistan and China a good chance of future commercial cooperation. He gave the Chinese business delegation his word that ICCI will do everything in its power to help them find the proper partners.

Zhang Yang, Chairman of Chang Jiang Industrial Company (Pakistan) Co., Ltd. and Director of Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce, made a statement on the occasion stating that their purpose for being in Pakistan is to investigate commercial and investment opportunities. He stated that the delegation members would like to support Pakistan’s economic growth since they believe it to be an attractive location for investments. In order to further enhance bilateral commercial and economic ties between China and Pakistan, the parties talked about a number of alternatives for bolstering cooperation between their respective business sectors.
Faseeh ullah Khan, Hamayun Kabir, Dr. Muhammad Usman, Ch. Javed Iqbal, Ch. Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Shabbir, Hamayun Kabir, and others also contributed insightful suggestions to strengthen Pakistan-China bilateral commercial and investment ties.
