Security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat, eliminating five terrorists, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation, conducted in response to credible intelligence inputs, resulted in a fierce clash between the forces and terrorists. Two other assailants were injured during the exchange of fire, ISPR reported.
In light of the possible presence of additional terrorists in the area, a clearance operation is underway.
The ISPR reiterated the resolve of security forces to completely eradicate terrorism from the country.
