LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader and newly elected member of the National Assembly Attaullah Tarar has said that the Presidential House has become a bastion of conspiracies and the incumbent president of the country could not live up to his position.
Tarar told the media at the party secretariat on Sunday that Pakistan President Arif Alvi was holding secret meetings with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) officials. He said the President did not convene a meeting of the National Assembly even though the summary was sent to the President.

The President is reluctant to fulfill his constitutional duties, he said, adding that the President of the country has become a PTI activist, which is damaging the continuity of democracy. Tarar pointed out that a prisoner who is in prison is writing to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). “We are moving towards democratic values and the president seems to be derailing democracy,” he concluded.
