ISLAMABAD: The overall production of petroleum commodities increased by 6.49 percent over the first five months of the current fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the same time in fiscal year 2022-23.
POL goods that exhibited positive development include kerosene oil, which increased by 6.40 percent in the months under review, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Similarly, the production of Motor Spirits, High-Speed Diesel, Diesel Oil NOS, Furnace Oil, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) increased by 5.18, 12.52, 40.08, 14.73, and 4.43 percent, respectively.
However, during the months under review, output of Jet Fuel Oil declined by 12.45 percent, Lubricating Oil by 35.65 percent, Jute Batching Oil by 20.49 percent, Solvant Naptha by 3.62%, and petroleum product NOS by 11.78%.
Year on year, petroleum production increased by 2.77 percent in November 2023 compared to November 2022.
During the month under review, the output of kerosene oil climbed by 44 percent, motor spirits by 7.63 percent, high-speed diesel by 5.19 percent, diesel oil quantities by 98.55 percent, furnace oil.
