Due to the severe cold wave or fog in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the provincial capital Peshawar the government has decided to extend the holidays given to all private and public primary schools till January 13 while changed the timings of high and higher secondary schools.
Even though most of the private schools have blown up the above government orders on which the parents are protesting. Despite the severe cold schools from primary to high level have opened in Peshawar. Although the closed private schools have also called primary school children and refused to give holidays to primary level children. In Peshawar Zariab Colony, Faqirabad, Lahori Hashtangari, Gulbahar, Nothia, Sikandarpura, Tura Kamil Road, Ittihad KaLoni, Ring Road, Kohat Road, Varsak Road, and other suburbs also from primary level to middle, high and high secondary remain open. Even with heavy fog and cold primary level children also attended the schools. Heavy fog was recorded in the morning hours on Monday while the cold weather card has broken in Peshawar.
Due to the severe cold small children fell ill on the first day. Despite the ban instructions have been given by the management of private schools while private level schools have opened primary level schools even for the sake of fees while parents are getting instructions from the schools that the examinations in the schools will start from next month.
Due to which primary level schools have been opened. On the other hand many parents have decided not to send their children to school in severe winter. It should be remembered that whenever any orders are issued by the provincial government for the educational institutions, they are not implemented. The main reason being that the said private schools have to pay the fees of the children. They do not avoid putting their lives at risk.
Its Remember that even in the summer season despite the dangers of sunstroke children are given very few summer vacations due to which most of the children’s condition worsens and they have to be hospitalized but no action has ever been taken against the management of these private schools.
One of the reasons for this is that most of the well-known schools of the country submits fee of millions of rupees annually in the local education boards while the income of the officers of the education department is separated from the examination halls as well.
There are many Cases have been filed against these schools many times in the High Court and the Supreme Court but instead of getting relief to the parents and students the school owners have been benefited due to which the people are now against these courts as well and There is no trust on them amongst masses .
About which a reliable judge is seen making loud claims again and again. Unfortunately where talking about other institutions of the country and criticizing them legitimately has been declared as blasphemy, the judicial system has also been made a white elephant so any stamen against it is considered an insult.
But on the other hand on the daily basis common citizens are insulted in schools and other government departments, which no one is going to ask. Therefore it is necessary that strict action should not only be taken against the management of the schools that do not obey the government orders but the High Court and the Supreme Court should also take strict notice of this and the said schools should be bound to close during the severe winter and Ensure them to implementation of government announcements issued from time to time so that the lives of young children can be made safe.
If private schools continue to disobey government orders thousands of young children will become victims of pneumonia. Therefore the officers of the concerned institutions need to come out of their comfortable offices and raid these schools so that action can be taken against the school owners who repeatedly challenge the government writ.
