LAHORE: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS)’s military diplomacy and economic initiatives have been met with satisfaction by the Pakistan Business Forum (PBF), as the country has experienced good shifts in a number of areas. PBF President Khawaja Mahboob ur Rehman said in a media statement released here on Wednesday that the economic policies of the caretaker government, along with the Army Chief’s strategic choices, have produced noticeable improvements in important economic indicators, which are sending a wave of optimism across the nation. According to him, prospects of further stabilization were sparked by the notable decline in the value of the dollar relative to the Pakistani rupee, which has seen a respectable dip from Rs 340 to Rs 280.
“We anticipate even more positive changes when the new IMF and Asian Development Bank funds arrive, with hopes of the dollar reaching Rs 250,” the PBF President continued. “The caretaker government has taken the best measures for the economy; the price of the dollar has fallen.” According to him, investors may now feel relieved as the Pakistan Stock Exchange is showing a positive trend as a result of these initiatives. Public opinion of the government’s economic policy has also improved as a result of the public’s appreciation of the decrease in gas prices. The Army Chief’s constructive actions were praised by the PBF President. “The Pakistan Stock Exchange is showing signs of improvement, and gas prices have dropped.
The President of PBF went on to say that the Army Chief’s actions were for the benefit of the nation and expressed hope for more advancements in the future. “Pakistan’s security forces’ unwavering resolve to stop illegal activities, protect the country’s economic interests, and ultimately work towards a more prosperous and stable Pakistan.” The PBF also recognized the advancements made in two important projects: the Green Punjab Program and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). In order to guarantee the effective execution of the historic projects, the PBF President further emphasized the necessity of collaboration across all pertinent departments.
