ISLAMABAD: Islahee Jamaat and Aalmi Tanzeem ul Arifeen of the shrine Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (RA) held the Annual Melaad e Mustafa & Haq Bahoo Conference in Islamabad’s Jinnah Convention Center. The conference was presided over by Jamaat Patron-in-Chief and Tanzeem Hazrat Sultan Muhammad Ali. The summit was attended by ambassadors from Palestine, Azerbaijan, Sudan, and Indonesia. While addressing the auspicious gathering, Jamaat Secretary General and Tanzeem Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali stated that the vitality of the Sufi message has grown exponentially in recent years.
Sufis explain Islam’s principles in both letter and spirit. The essence of Deen is found in the love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Islam not only provides guidance for our material lives, but it also provides a full spiritual rule. In order to create social order to a society, the Holy Quran draws social precepts. The Quran informs on how to eliminate social instability and create a balanced community. The fundamental message of Deen is to obey Allah’s commands through the injunctions of the Holy Quran and to obey the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The fundamental requirement of Deen is love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH). One can never acquire the true core of Islam until he loves the Holy Prophet (PBUH) above everything else. It is reflected in the Holy Quran as human beings need to improve their relationship with Allah in the same proportion as they need to strengthen their relationship with the Holy Prophet (PBUH). In truth, the Holy Quran teaches courtesies of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). God’s will is the will of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). One who carries out the will of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) carries out the will of God. Society holds a significant significance in Deen. According to the Holy Prophet PBUH, in order to complete one’s Emaan, one must surrender.
In this regard, the message of the Holy Prophet PBUH is love, peace, and harmony, and we must consider today what we have learned from the Prophet PBUH’s teachings. Do social media and other forms of media today teach the same message? Do our acts on these channels reflect our love and devotion to the Holy Prophet (PBUH)? The response is quite unsatisfactory. Every day, our social media is inundated with hate. In his entire life, the Holy Prophet never disliked, mistreated, or blamed anyone. The recent wars in Gaza and Ukraine have plainly shown the world’s hypocrisy. Furthermore, the Ummah’s silence on the Gaza problem has exposed our spiritual degeneration.
On the occasion, Haji Muhammad Nawaz Qadri, Jamaat Nazim-e-Ala, underlined that Sufi teachings encourage self-purification and the embrace of Islamic norms in text and spirit. Sufis have used this method to learn the Holy Quran and apply its teachings in their daily lives. He also believes that zikar (remembrance of Allah) strengthens our relationship with God. The conference was attended by foreign delegates, academics, university students, lawmakers, and people from other walks of life.
