Bagh AJK: A seminar was held at Postgraduate College Bagh under the auspices of Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Occupied Kashmir.
According to the details, the seminar titled ‘Modi’s hands are stained with blood’ was chaired by Director Dr. Professor Yasir Arafat Abbasi, while Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Professors of the Institute, was the chief guest on the occasion. including Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim, Ghulam Murtaza, Faisal Farooq Sheikh and Muhammad Fayyaz were also present on the occasion.
During the seminar, hundreds of enthusiastic students shouted slogans against Narendra Modi’s Indian military occupation and also paid tribute to Burhan Wani, Maqbool Butt, Syed Ali Gillani, Ashraf Sehrai, Afzal Guru and other martyrs.
Addressing the seminar, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said that despite all the conspiracies, Narendra Modi failed to win the support and sympathy of the Kashmiri people during his visit.
He said that Narendra Modi has proved to be the worst enemy of the Kashmiri people by taking away their state, land and identity from the Kashmiri people on August 5, 2019.
He said the entire Srinagar was surrounded during Modi’s visit, which shows not a success but a historic defeat for the Indian Prime Minister.
Ghazali said that the Kashmiri people know that the Modi government has used the Supreme Court of India for its political purposes against the state of Jammu and Kashmir and now Modi is planning to impose the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Hindutva agenda on the Kashmiri people through this court decision.
Uzair said that the people of Kashmir rejected the coercive military rule of India and added that the people of the state do not accept any oppression and imperialist occupation except freedom.
Vice President Usman Ali Hashim said that Kashmiri rulers were cheated by Indian rulers in the past and now they are committed to their just right of self-determination.
While describing Modi as a terrorist ruler of India, he said that the people of Kashmir will not forget the great sacrifices of millions of martyrs of Kashmir.
He said that Kashmiris have collectively rejected Modi’s visit.
Director Dr. Yasir Arafat said that the great sacrifices made for the freedom of the people of Kashmir will always be remembered, women sacrificed their children but the determination and courage of women remained unshaken.
“Even today these mountains stand like a wall of lead against Indian pressure,” he said.
He said that the youth of Azad Kashmir felt the suffering and pain of their brothers who were oppressed by India and were waiting for an opportunity to sacrifice themselves for the freedom of the occupied state.
Dr. described the international community’s silence on the Kashmir issue as deplorable and termed the stance as a threat to peace in South Asia.
The speakers termed Narendra Modi’s visit as a failure and demanded that the Kashmir issue be resolved soon as per UN Security Council resolutions.
