ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM-P) and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) have achieved a three-point agreement on government formation.
MQM will support the PML-N for Speaker and Prime Minister. The heads of the two parties also signed the three-point accord.
The accord also addresses the local government structure and Karachi’s issues.
The agreement said that “Constitutional amendments will be a priority in accordance with the Charter.”
According to the agreement copy that the leaders of both sides signed, “MQM will sit on government benches instead of opposition.”
MQM will support the PML-N for Speaker and Prime Minister.
Leader of the PML-N, Ahsan Iqbal, also told the media that the MQM-P and the PML-N are allies and that both parties can resolve any issues.
