ISLAMABAD: According to a recent study, outlawing disposable vape pens could have a detrimental effect on 2.6 million people and deter future e-cigarette users in the UK.
This study is the result of a recent conversation among UK officials about the need to outlaw disposable vape pens in order to keep kids from developing an addiction to the device.
The study was published in the journal Public Health and was carried out by University College London with funding from Cancer Research UK. It emphasizes the significance of tobacco harm reduction products as a less hazardous habit that can lessen the harm caused by tobacco addiction.
According to the data, an increasing number of adults in the UK are starting to prefer e-cigarettes over traditional cigarettes. If a ban were to be implemented, smokers would no longer view disposable vapes as a safer option and their reputation would suffer as a result.
69,973 persons were surveyed for the study. The population’s percentage of vapers has increased; it was 0.1 percent in January 2021 and is currently 4.9 percent in August 2023. If disposable vaporizers are outlawed, newly discovered smokers might switch to tobacco.
